Born on December 29, 1962. Graduated in Engineering in 1987. PhD in Structural Mechanics in 1992. Professor of Mechanics of Solids and Structures since 2005 at Sapienza Università di Roma. Member of the Department of Structural and Geotechnical Engineering. Member of the Teaching Advisory Board - PhD in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (Sapienza Università di Roma), Member of the Executive Council of the Centro di Ricerca per le Nanotecnologie applicate all'Ingegneria della Sapienza (CNIS), Member of the Scientific Council of the Centro di Ricerca Saperi&Co at Sapienza, Member of the Editorial Board of Applied and Computational Mechanics (ACM), Member of the Editorial Board of Mechanics of Soft Materials (Springer), Member of the Editorial Board of Frontiers in Materials (mechanics of Materials Group).
